- Email (via Contact Form): Used only to respond to your inquiries. Not stored for marketing or shared with third parties.
- Optional Google Sign-In: If you choose to log in, we securely store your name and Google account ID only to save your learning progress. We do not access your email content, contacts, files, or password.
- Learning Progress & Quiz State: To help you continue where you left off, your quiz progress, score, time spent, and last visited question may be stored using localStorage in your browser. This data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers.
- Drawing/Practice Tool Data: Any drawings or practice work you create using the drawing tool are stored temporarily in your own browser for your convenience. We do not collect, view, or store your drawings on our servers.
We never sell, rent, or share any personal or learning data with advertisers or third parties.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used only to improve your learning experience:
- To save and display your personal learning and quiz progress
- To allow you to stop and continue practice from where you left off
- To show your skill growth inside “My Progress”
- To improve accessibility, performance, and user experience
- To respond to your contact requests
No advertising, profiling, or commercial tracking is performed.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used only to enhance your learning experience:
- To save and display your personal learning progress
- To respond to your contact requests
- To improve features that support learning and accessibility
We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
We use trusted and privacy-compliant services such as Google Authentication and Firebase Firestore for secure account management and data storage. These providers meet industry security standards. We may also use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics to help us understand how our platform is used — never to track or profile users.
5. Cookies
We use only essential cookies — for example, to remember your login session or store progress temporarily. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Children’s Privacy
The Lighthouse is designed for learners of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without parental consent, and accounts for minors should be managed with adult supervision.
7. Your Control
You’re always in control of your data. You can choose to:
- Use The Lighthouse without signing in — no data is stored.
- Delete your account and all saved progress at any time by visiting Manage Account.
- Contact us directly to request deletion or data access.
